Viridis Mining and Minerals Limited has selected Sedgman and Blossom Consult as its preferred Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) partners for the Colossus Project, a rare earth development located in Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

The selection followed a competitive process that began with 11 international and Brazilian engineering and project delivery groups, involving expressions of interest, technical and commercial evaluations, clarification rounds, and contractual assessments.

Established more than a year ago, the Sedgman-Blossom partnership combines Sedgman's global experience with Blossom's local expertise, infrastructure, and established execution capabilities in Brazil, bringing together the competencies required to deliver the EPCM services for the implementation of the Colossus Project.

The work will initially be mobilized through a transition phase (PRE-FID Bridging Phase), including the advancement of detailed engineering toward design freeze, consolidation of execution and procurement planning, oversight of already awarded Long Lead Equipment (LLE) packages, and preparation of upcoming contracting activities. This strategy aims to increase engineering maturity and execution readiness ahead of the project's Final Investment Decision (FID).

The Sedgman-Blossom team has already conducted a preliminary Cold Eyes Review of the project following completion of the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS), identifying opportunities to optimize capital expenditure (CapEx) before FID. This outcome further strengthened Viridis' confidence in the team and methodology proposed by Sedgman and Blossom.

According to Frederico Jannotti, CEO of Blossom, the selection represents a transition to a new stage in the company's growth and development.

"Over the past decade, we have built the capabilities that have enabled us to perform at this new level. The Sedgman-Blossom partnership, established more than a year ago, has created a strong and well-aligned structure for the successful implementation of the Colossus Project. We thank Viridis for its confidence in and recognition of our capabilities."

With the DFS completed, the Colossus Project is moving into a new phase focused on execution readiness. Viridis is already advancing priority workstreams with the objective of maintaining its target of commencing production in 2028.
